Lovely hotel with lovely personnel and excellent view over the sea. Unique location very close to San Sebastian airport, Spanish style building. And near river. The tapas restaurant for dinner...

The location, overlooking the bay, marina,and the sea in the distance,was enchanting. Very interesting to stay in such an historic location. The surrounding old city, town, and food were excellent.

The room was spacious with fine views of both the sea and the Pyrenees. Watching the planes land over the water was exciting and added a unique element to our stay.

The proximity to the airport did cause some excitement during landing.

We were in the hotel during major construction--a very difficult experience. Our room was the smallest we've ever had in a parador. And there's no Internet in the rooms, a major inconvenience. I would look elsewhere in town for lodging.

Resting in a historic gem, we reveled in spacious elegance with good sea views. The charm of the old castle paired beautifully with thoughtful design. Lovely location amidst local eateries, though managing parking was a minor challenge. Our experience was great, and we can't wait to return someday!

Breakfast was quite nice. The view from the room was also very nice and there was a very nice terrace overlooking the bay.

Staff was not very helpful and the rooms for the price were too simple.

Oh, the breakfast spread was a dream! Homemade preserves that could make your taste buds tango, and the local eateries nearby are pure gold. We had some very nice tapas at Antxina and Batzokia Jatetxea, just a stone's throw away! The vibe was totally laid-back.

Well, I must spill the beans-the room had a bit of an old-school smell, maybe because of its rich history. Plus, soundproofing wasn't top-tier. You might catch some late-night plumbing symphonies from next door.

The historic location of the Parador is unique. The outdoor terrace overlooking the bay is wonderful. Breakfast in the courtyard was terrific.

The staff doesn't make much effort to give guidance on what to do around the town or the general region, referring you instead to the Tourist office. To get the most out of a visit to Hondarrbia, do your own research and make specific plans.
